PrEP IN BLACK AMERICA

We can’t say PrEP is a successful HIV prevention tool if Black Americans aren’t benefiting from it.

Black HIV prevention advocates are expressing deep frustration with the persistently low rates of knowledge and utilization of PrEP in Black communities in the U.S. despite continuing racial disparities in the epidemic. In response, the PrEP In Black America Coalition works to organize a series of summits, webinars, and publications to engage community leaders, health departments, and legislators to address pervasive systemic barriers that prevent the Black community from accessing PrEP.
